Routerstack operates a portal-based field execution platform that connects MSPs and data center operators with vetted field engineers on demand. Clients book jobs through the portal, and Routerstack matches a suitable technician based on location, skills and availability.
The platform compiles all job requirements, site details and client standards into a structured execution plan for each technician before they arrive on site, ensuring consistent delivery regardless of who is dispatched. After completing the work, technicians upload evidence and the platform pulls together all elements of the job into a comprehensive report for all stakeholders, delivered directly to the client portal.
Coverage spans New Zealand, Australia and Canada. There is no retainer required and no minimum monthly commitment. Clients pay per dispatch with a two-hour minimum and transparent published rates.

A field execution platform is a structured system that connects clients who need on-site technical work with vetted field engineers. Unlike traditional staffing agencies, a field execution platform manages the entire workflow from job booking through to structured reporting. Routerstack's platform compiles all job requirements into a comprehensive execution plan for technicians and produces detailed job reports with evidence for clients. The platform removes the need for clients to find, vet, brief and manage individual contractors, while ensuring consistent quality and documentation across every dispatch.
Routerstack operates as an extension of your service desk, providing on-demand field engineers who work under your direction. We do not sell managed services or offer ongoing support contracts. Our technicians follow your documentation and report back through your workflows. MSPs use Routerstack to extend geographic reach, handle overflow work, and cover after-hours without hiring permanent staff in every region. The platform is designed to integrate with how MSPs already operate.
Dispatch speed depends on the city and urgency tier selected during booking. In established cities with active technician pools, same-day dispatch is available for urgent requests. Standard bookings are typically confirmed within 24 hours. After-hours and weekend dispatch is available in most covered cities. The platform matches technicians based on location, skills, availability and compliance status, so the booking process is handled within minutes of submission. Yes. Smart hands is one of our core field services. This includes racking and stacking, cable patching, hardware swaps, basic troubleshooting, visual inspections, and photo documentation. Technicians follow structured task lists and upload evidence as they work. All smart hands work is covered by our standard insurance and compliance framework, and technicians are briefed on data center protocols including anti-static procedures, cable management standards and access control requirements.
Yes. All Routerstack technicians undergo CERTN background checks before being approved for dispatch. This includes identity verification, criminal record checks and right-to-work confirmation. Technicians also complete mandatory training modules through our Nexus learning platform covering health and safety, data center best practices, and professional conduct. Technicians are uniformed and carry Routerstack ID badges on every job. Compliance documentation is maintained centrally and can be provided to clients on request.
Yes. The platform is designed to support remote guidance workflows. MSP service desk teams can provide instructions to technicians during active jobs. Technicians are equipped to receive and follow real-time direction while on site. This means MSPs maintain control of the technical outcome without needing to send their own staff. Job task lists can be customized per booking, and technicians report progress through the platform so remote teams have visibility throughout the job.
No. Routerstack operates on a pay-per-dispatch model with no retainer, no minimum monthly spend, and no long-term contract required. Clients are billed per job with a two-hour minimum per dispatch. Rate cards are published and transparent. This model suits MSPs and operators who need flexible field coverage without committing to fixed costs. Clients who dispatch regularly may qualify for volume-based pricing, but this is optional and not a prerequisite for using the platform. View our published rate card for current pricing.
Job reports are compiled automatically by the platform. When a technician completes a job and uploads evidence such as photos, notes, and checklist completions, the system pulls together all elements into a comprehensive job report. This report is available in the client portal immediately after job completion. Reports include work performed, evidence collected, any issues encountered, and time on site. Reports can be exported and integrated into client ticketing systems for seamless record keeping.
Routerstack operates across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. Coverage is determined by where our active technicians live and the travel radius each one declares — not by a fixed list of cities. New technicians in underserved areas can typically be onboarded within one week. For real-time coverage density anywhere in our three operating countries, see our full coverage map.
Yes. After-hours dispatch is available in most covered cities. This includes evenings, weekends, and public holidays. After-hours work is billed at published rates on our rate card. After-hours dispatch is commonly used for emergency break-fix, scheduled maintenance windows that must occur outside business hours, and data center work that requires low-traffic periods. Booking after-hours jobs follows the same portal workflow as standard bookings.
